La Belle Epoque saw the birth of a Golden Age in Paris. Two young sculptors meet and have a fleeting romance. He moves to Britain, creates memorable sculptures and is knighted. She has a fatal love affair with Rodin and ends up in a pauper grave. Her descendant, an art historian, eventually writes her story.
